The IOP Approach to Enterprise Frameworks
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper introduces the Internet Operating Platform (IOP), an enterprise framework for large scale software development. In addition to obeying to important standards (UML, XML, Java) an enterprise framework has to fulfil three basic requirements. First of all, it has to be broad and needs an elaborate architecture complementing standards and technologies rather than purely connecting them. Therefore, IOP combines UML modeling, workflow specification, code generation, run-time configuration, and component architectures. Secondly, an enterprise framework allows most developers to concentrate on business leaving technical issues to a few specialists. Therefore, IOP abstracts from underlying technologies in the areas of front-ends (HTML, XML, Java), communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, JMS, RMI), distributed components (EJB, CORBA), and persistence (virtual memory, XML, SQL92, SQL:1999). All corresponding drivers are replaceable and can even coexist. Third, an enterprise framework has to provide micro solutions on both technical and business levels. Thus, IOP provides amongst others built-in services and components like session management on a technical level and content management on a business level.

Providing an Enterprise Architecture Framework Model for Laboratory Information Management Systems by Service Oriented Approach
Background and Aim: Laboratories are one of the most important scientific and research centers. Laboratory information management systems provide a platform for recording the information and collaborating between researchers. The main purpose of this study was suggesting an organizational architecture model of laboratory information management systems. Materials and Methods: This study was a ...
متن کاملA group evidential reasoning approach for enterprise architecture framework selection
Abstract: Enterprise architecture (EA) frameworks are used to ensure interoperability of information systems and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business organisations. Several methods have been proposed for selecting suitable frameworks. Although these methods are useful, none of them captures the uncertainties inherent in multi-attribute framework selection problems that embrace b...
متن کاملA Fuzzy Decision Making Approach to Enterprise Resource Planning System Selection
Here, we propose a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method to evaluate the alternatives of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The fuzzy AHP approach allows the users get values more accurately to model the vagueness which changes according subjective ideas in the decision-making environment for ERP system selection problem. Therefore, fuzzy AHP method is used to obtain firm decis...
متن کاملiARIS - Supporting Enterprise Transformation Using An Iterative ISD Method
Enterprise architecture frameworks can be used to guide the development process of an information system (IS). While these frameworks cover a comprehensive approach to IS development, most of them essentially proclaim a linear, stepwise development process. In the field of computer science, such linear, waterfall-based approaches have been replaced by so-called agile methods proclaiming an iter...
متن کاملWhere Do We Find Services in Enterprise Architectures? A Comparative Approach
In recent years, enterprise architecture (EA) has captured growing attention as a means to systematically consolidate and interrelate diverse IT artefacts in order to provide holistic decision support. Since the emergence of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), many attempts have been made to incorporate SOA artefacts in existing EA frameworks. Yet the approaches taken to achieve this goal diff...
